Hum Hain Pakistan (“We Are Pakistan”) is a structured, youth-led initiative designed to institutionalise SDG education and action across schools, colleges and universities. Rather than treating the SDGs as a topic to be lectured about, the campaign applies a “Learning plus Action” model: students first build SDG literacy through awareness sessions, then translate that literacy into Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) that address a real problem in their school or community, and finally present and celebrate that work publicly.
The campaign is spearheaded by the National Parliamentary Task Force on SDGs, implemented by International Governance and Sustainability Institute (IG-SI), supported globally by the United Peacekeepers Federal Council (UNPKFC), and enabled by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. It is aligned with URAAN Pakistan — the National Economic Transformation Plan and its 5E framework — and with the global 2030 Agenda. The campaign was formally inaugurated on 21 May 2026 at Parliament House, Islamabad, with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, as Chief Guest.
The design draws on the Global Peacekeepers Volunteers Initiative (GPVI) model implemented by IG-SI and UNPKFC in Thailand, in which volunteers received a one-day orientation, were organised into thematic groups, and each group delivered a Quick Impact Project over three months against a selected SDG. That model demonstrated that short, structured, time-bound initiatives produce measurable youth leadership outcomes. Hum Hain Pakistan adapts the same framework to Pakistan’s educational context.
