ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL GOVERNANCE AND SUSTAINABILITY INSTITUTE (IG-SI)

The International Governance and Sustainability Institute (IG-SI) was established in January 2022 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri, its Founding Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Vision

To emerge as a benchmark institution of excellence in advancing good governance and sustainable development at national and global levels.

Mission

To accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a holistic approach grounded in the four core pillars of sustainable development and good governance:
Human, Social, Economic, and Environmental Sustainability.

Key Achievements and Impact

In a remarkably short span of time, IG-SI has demonstrated meaningful impact through high-value initiatives across education, law enforcement, gender empowerment, and global leadership:

  1. Delivered awareness lectures in schools and colleges across the Islamabad Capital Territory on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, fostering inclusive mindsets among youth.
  2. Conducted specialized lectures at the National Police Academy on Ethics, Etiquettes, and Police Culture, strengthening professional values in law enforcement.
  3. Engaged in high-level discussions on Road Safety and Accident Prevention with Mr. Jean Todt, United Nations Special Envoy for Road Safety, on 24 October 2025, during an event organized by the International Parliamentarians Congress.
  4. Organized a national-level training workshop at the National Police Bureau (NPB) on “Unpacking Gender and the Role of Women in UN Missions and Barriers” for women police officers from across Pakistan, preparing for the SAAT Examination and aspiring to serve in UN Peacekeeping Operations.
  5. Under the Global Peacekeepers Volunteer Initiative (GPVI), trained 300 volunteers on the Sustainable Development Goals and their practical implementation on 15 December 2025, empowering youth for community-level impact.
  6. Delivered a keynote lecture to 300 international students at the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) in Bangkok, Thailand, on 12 December 2025, covering the United Nations system, SDGs, and UN Peacekeeping.
  7. Actively participated in the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) 2025, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 14 December 2025, organized by UNPKFC, contributing to global dialogue on leadership and sustainable development.
